Claim Your Worth
“Never forget how rare you are.” - Unknown
I need you to do something for me right now. Put your hand on your chest, close your eyes and say “I am worth it.” Because you are. That is a truth we tend to forget in our everyday lives. You are worth respect. You are worth love. You are worth happiness. You are worth success. I could keep going. The problem is just as I am telling you this there are voices telling you at the same time that you are not. That you do not deserve anything. Whether the voice is in your head or from someone in your life it is a lie. Here is why.
You were made unique. There is no one like you in this entire world. Because of that you carry your own special gifts and qualities. You were made with a unique path to walk on.
You were made with love by God to leave a mark on this world.
Whether big or small, both are equally important. I would think then that no matter who you are or where you come from or what you have done, you are worth it. Jesus thought so. That’s why he died for you. God has done everything He can to show you that you matter to Him more than you can imagine. So why are you letting this world let you believe you mean nothing. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
I understand this can be hard to grasp, especially when you’ve been mistreated or hurt. How can you feel worth it when someone has constantly told you that you are not. How can you feel loved when all you see is hate or anger. What has been constant can suddenly seem like our reality. If you are treated like you’re not worth it, it can feel like that is how it’s supposed to be. That breaks my heart because I wish I could just show you how amazing you are and how much you could shine if only you knew your potential. I don’t need to know you in order to say that. Just being born makes you worthy of love, joy, peace and all things good.
You my dear are enough. Absolutely and completely. And it’s time to fight the negative. You are not ugly, dumb, unwanted or useless. You are gorgeously made in God’s perfect eye. Not unless you’re trying to tell God He made a mistake. You are smart, loved, chosen and have the world waiting on your amazing gifts and talents. Time will present them to you if you don’t know what they are yet. Hold on to the fact that you do possess them and are worthy. Seeing your worth is the first step into your power. The power to take a hold of your purpose in God. It cannot be done if you don’t believe in yourself as capable and strong and amazing. Grab that crown and own it because as God’s child you are a princess. So don’t allow others to disrespect you or mistreat you. Claim your worth!
Gratitude is huge but is it necessary during trauma?
