Broken, Lacking or Alone

“Stop trying to fix yourself. You’re not broken. You are perfectly imperfect and powerful beyond measure.” - Steve Maraboli

You are not broken. You are not lacking. You are not alone. The enemy wants you to feel that why and I’m here to tell you that they are all lies.

You are not broken.

To be broken means to not be able to be used. My dear, you are so full of potential and good use it is mind blowing. You may be more inclined to see parts as if they are broken but trust me, they are just temporarily derailed. That hurt, pain and scar are all very real. But they are also healing with the work that you are putting in. Besides, the moment we feel broken and come to God there is one thing he does. ”He healeth the broken in heart, And bindeth up their wounds.“‭‭ (Psalm‬ ‭147‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV)‬‬. This alone should tell you that you are on a path to healing. It may not feel like it but as time goes by you will see and feel the change. You will also realize that same derailed parts are so important and vital to life. Not only for you, but also for others around you. The new compassion you have towards others in your predicament, or the wisdom gained that you share are an important lifeline you never would have had before.

You are not lacking.

You were never made to lack. You were made as a cup, and you were meant to overflow. So, if your cup is not full, you will still have something in it. ”Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭34‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT)‬‬. God can take what little drop you have and make it overflow again. But lacking is not in your vocabulary and should not be. Lacking is not in your system and will never be. God provides everything that you need. And that alone is why you are not lacking. He gave you the skills that you needed, He gave you the wisdom that you needed, and He’s providing all the other parts to fill up empty spaces. So anytime that you feel like you don’t have, He will bring someone that does, or something that does. Lacking is not who you are.

By all means, you are not alone.

You were not born alone. Someone was with you and someone else was pulling you out (wink). You came into this world special and unique, and God said you were good. Every moment after that God has been with you. He told Joshua this as he was taking over for Moses. ”No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.“ (Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT).‬‬ Funny thing. He repeats himself.

”This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT)‬‬. He commands Joshua to not be afraid multiple times. Obviously, this is the number one thing on his mind as he steps into the huge shoes of his predecessor. But through that, he gently reminds him twice that He will be with him wherever he goes. He will never leave him or fail him. He is right there with you too! He is always finding ways to make sure that you know you are not alone. Even through strangers, friends, loved ones. He makes sure that you know how precious you are to Him.

This letter right here is to you from him, letting you know that you are not broken you are not lacking, and you are not alone. At some point, we are all tempted to believe these lies. Even Jesus was tempted to believe lies in the desert. He responded to each one with scripture. Which is why I included scripture here, so that you know it comes from the word of God that none of this is true. That you are important, that you are loved. That you are surrounded and that everything is going in your direction for your good. It may not look like that, but it is.
