Loving Others Begins With You

“Within you, you will find everything you need to be complete.” ― Bryant McGill

You are one in a million. One in a billion. One in a trillion. God made you unique and you are perfect just the way you are. He knew exactly what he was doing when He made you. That wrong dimple. That crooked smile. That fat toe. All done with love and purpose. He saw you and said it is done. You are perfect. We see flaws because we look with the eyes of the world. Imagine if you looked with God’s eyes at everything around you. Imagine waking up and seeing things with your new eyes. Would you grumble at your alarm clock or marvel at the invention? Would you mutter you have nothing to wear or admire a closet full of clothes? Would you drag your feet to a destination or sprint with purpose? Would you see people with flaws or just unique beauty and qualities around you? God intended for us to love each other as we love ourselves.

But if we struggle with loving ourselves how can we then love each other.

It begins with us and like a love virus it spreads to those around us. Hate can spread too and that’s why we need to be careful. They are both very powerful feelings. However one kills and the other brings life. Hopefully at this point we are leaning towards the lifegiving part. Or I’m doing something terribly wrong and should start all over again.

Hi. I’m Soko and I wish to be a life giver. When I look at myself in the mirror, what do I see. Someone who Jesus gave His life for. Someone who God created and breathed life into and sent me out with a purpose. Someone who the Spirit has the desire to lead to great adventures and life changing moments. Now you look in the mirror and describe who you see. But remember, we are using God’s eyes.

An object created with love as you absolutely were is fully capable of love. Don’t let the lies in your head fool you. Even if you have never felt what love is like it has already been placed in you. No matter what awful sad moments in life you have been through it can never be taken away from you. It can never be broken and it can never be too far to reach. It’s right here for you to grasp. Always has been and always will be. Just look for that warmth and go towards it.

It will be so worth it. Why? Because it’s who you were meant to be. A being of love that only you can give in your own special way. You are a one in a million. A one in a billion. A one in a trillion. You are unique and God who is love will always love you no matter what.
